About AITP Homecare — Our Mission and Team

About us

Care built on relationships,
not transactions

AITP Homecare has helped Connecticut families navigate one of life's most personal challenges — finding care that feels like care, not like a service.

Why we exist — and why it matters

AITP Homecare was founded on a straightforward conviction: that the people who need care most deserve the kind of attention that only comes from knowing someone. Not a rotation of strangers. Not a different face every week. A caregiver who learns your routines, earns your trust, and shows up — reliably, consistently, and with genuine investment in your wellbeing.

We are a Connecticut homecare agency in the fullest sense of that phrase. Our coordinators live in the communities they serve. Our caregivers build careers here. When a client's situation changes — a new diagnosis, a shift in mobility, a family moving closer — we adapt the care plan, not the client.

Over the years, we have learned that the quality of care is inseparable from the quality of the relationship. A caregiver who feels respected does better work. A client who feels heard recovers faster. The warmth is not a service feature — it is the mechanism by which the care actually works.

"The warmth is not a service feature. It is the mechanism by which the care actually works."

— Sully Figueroa, Founder & Executive Director

That commitment shapes every decision we make — from how we screen caregivers to how we handle a difficult conversation with a family. We do not measure success in hours billed. We measure it in the number of clients who tell us they feel safe.

Dignity

Every person in our care is treated as a full human being — not a condition, not a schedule, not a case number. Dignity is the baseline, not the aspiration.

Continuity

We match clients with caregivers who stay. Consistency builds trust, and trust is what makes care effective.

Accountability

We answer for the quality of every visit. Our coordinators follow up, our caregivers check in, and our families always have a direct line to someone who knows their situation.

Family voices

Care that feels personal,
in their words

These are accounts from families who chose AITP Homecare and chose to share why. We are grateful for every one.

I called on a Tuesday and had a caregiver in my mother's home by Thursday. The coordinator remembered every detail I mentioned — even the small things. That told me everything.
Patricia L.Daughter of a client, Hartford County
A client of AITP Homecare
My father refused help for years. The caregiver AITP sent was patient, consistent, and never made him feel like a burden. Six months in, he asks when she's coming. That's the whole story.
Thomas B.Son of a client, New Haven County
After my stroke, I needed help but I needed my independence too. AITP understood that balance from the first conversation. They didn't just send someone — they sent the right person.
